Tesla updates online design studios to make changes to its performance vehicles
Electric vehicle manufacturer Tesla Motors has recently updated its online design studios, in order to bring about some changes to its performance vehicles. The updated online design studios by Tesla Motors have re-introduced ventilated seats which had previously been discontinued by the automaker. In addition, new black Arachnid wheels will also be made available by the automaker during the ordering process.
Arachnid wheels are 21-inch wheels which Tesla has designed for the Model S. The wheels were thus far available only to owners of Tesla vehicles via the referral program, that is, Tesla owners could get a new set of wheels with tires after they had referred a number of new buyers for Model S and Model X vehicles.
With Tesla having now made some changes by updating its online design studios, black Arachnid wheels are now available for purchase from the design studio. However, the wheels are available only for the Model S P100D, which is the performance version of the automaker’s flagship sedan. As a result of the change, Model S P100D owners can now pay an extra $4,500 for adding black Arachnid wheels to their $135,000 performance vehicle.
Along with the change related to the availability of black Arachnid wheels, Tesla has also introduced the new option of ventilated seats for the interiors of its Model S and Model X electric vehicles.
