Tesla sends Model 3 configuration invites to more reservation holders in Canada
According to EV magazine Electrek’s report, a number of Model 3 reservation holders across Canada have reported that they have received invites from Tesla Motors this week to configure their electric vehicle (EV).
The report indicates that the Model 3 configurator has been opened by Tesla to more reservation holders of the EV in Canada. The move comes in the wake of the scheduled commencement of the deliveries of Model 3 in Canada in the near future, as is evident from the spotting of several Model 3 EVs at Tesla stores across the country.
Canada is the second market, after the US, in which Tesla is launching its Model 3 electric vehicle.
The latest batch of Model 3 configuration invites to Model 3 reservation holders in Canada this week marks Tesla’s second important batch of configuration invites in the country, after previously sending a first massive batch of invites nearly five weeks back.
This second batch of Model 3 configuration invites to reservation holders in China comes after the production of the vehicle was suspended by Tesla for a week for the purpose of upgrading the production line, so that the vehicle’s production rate can potentially reach up to 5,000 units per week by the end of the April-June quarter.
