GAIUS RAPIDE 3 --- a revolutionary new commercial electric cargo scooter
In one of the noteworthy unveiling at the 2018 Paris Motor Show, a new commercial electric cargo scooter was introduced by Gaius Auto. The scooter, which will likely have a substantial impact on the transportation market in the developing countries, is called the RAPIDE 3.
In unveiling the new RAPIDE 3 commercial electric cargo scooter, Gaius Auto said that the design process for the scooter was built from the ground up, to combine a classic three-wheeled vehicle design with the latest advancements in battery technology.
According to the details shared by Gaius Auto, a factory has already been set up by the company for manufacturing the RAPIDE 3 electric cargo scooter in Taiwan. The vehicle engineering and electrical engineering will take place in Toronto and Paris respectively.
Revealing that the production of the RAPIDE 3 electric cargo scooter will be commenced soon, Gaius Auto said that the scooter is likely to hit the markets by the end of 2019, priced at approximately Euro 11,000. The scooter will essentially be marketed towards commercial applications, specifically fleet use, as it boasts the cargo capacity of a light truck and the agility of a scooter.
The GAIUS RAPIDE 3 electric cargo scooter will have a driving range of up to 105 km (65 mi), thanks to its 5.2 kWh Lithium Titanate (LTO) battery pack. The scooter will have the ability to haul cargo of up to 440 L (16 cubic feet) or 200 kg (440 lb).
